This years NIGHT OF THE PROMS is something to behold

Two months away from my 30th birthday and I now know what’s on top on my wish-list: Tickets to the Night Of The Proms-show in Antwerp, so I can watch it with my beautiful fiancee. Why? Because that’s where Roxette will make a comeback. Yep, after they had to cancel their NOTP-attendance back in 2002 due to Marie Fredrikssons cancer, they now 7 years later will use the arrangement to mark their reunion.
It’s about 17 years since I bought the Joyride-album. Not for me, but for my brother as a confirmation-gift. I ended up listening to it 24/7 and for the first time I became a real fanboy of something within music. With all respect to Michael Jackson, for me Per Gessle is the king of pop. After discovering Joyride I went back and found Gyllene Tider and Roxettes previous albums, all pieces of pop-heaven.
Tragically I’ve never been to a concert with them, and I thought I’d never get the chance when Fredrikson got cancer in 2002. But now hope is back. If not in Antwerp, then maybe they’ll do more concerts? Get your asses over to Bergen, Roxette!
NOTP is a show where classic and pop meets. It sounds great. Check out Toto when they were at NOTP:
With Roxette playing their greatest hits, with a full orchestra backing them up? That’s something I want to see. Maybe something in the likes of this remix:
Here’s crossing my fingers and hoping that someday I’ll see them live on stage.
